Ray Family Farms Cracked pecans give you quick access to the golden nuts inside. Pecans are placed in a bin where one of our commercial ‘pecan crackers’ does the work for you. Nuts travel along a conveyor where each pecan is simultaneously ‘whacked’ on both ends cracking the shell while leaving the halves intact. During this process, much of the excess shell is discarded, leaving you with a higher percentage of nuts vs. shell. Don’t worry. We measure the weight of our bags after the cracking process.
